Frankie and Benny's support the Children in Need charity with a day of activities for everyone.

The restaurant, based at Cheshire Oaks, held raffles throughout the day to win a free meal every hour, the staff were in fancy dress and Pudsey the Bear was available for photographs with the children.

A red Audi A3 was parked in front of the restaurant filled with balloons, anyone could guess how many balloons were inside to win a free meal. The entertainment began with the Cheshire Jets making an appearance. At 2.30pm the team did a demonstration and interacted with the crowd, passing balls and dribbling them around different obstacles.

18 cans, totalling 39.16 kilograms of baked beans, donated by Makro Liverpool were poured into a bath, donated by Bath Store. The Deputy Manager, Kyle Dottie, 25, from Liverpool was chosen by his co-workers to sit in the bath for an hour to raise money. “It feels kind of therapeutic but it stinks. It is for a good cause, so get your money out,” he said.

The BBC attended the event to film the activity.
